Partnership and Communication

At WHEELS, we are grateful for our families for choosing to trust us with their child’s education.  This means that the student, family, and staff are all working together to ensure success.  We have a number of ways that we communicate with students and families:

  • Email (Staff Directory on home page)
  • Student-Led Conferences (SLCs) with Progress Reports/Report Cards
  • Phone calls home
  • Student and family meetings
  • School visits

Each crew leader serves as the primary point of contact for a student’s family regarding all school related matters.  Crew leaders develop strong relationships with families and take initiative in contacting them regarding students’ attendance, academics, behavior, and socio-emotional and physical well-being.
